Ingredients:
2 pkgs dry yeast 1 cup warm water 1 Tbsp sugar 3 Tbsp flour Equal amounts of butter, margarine, shortening to total 2 cups 2 cup lukewarm evaporated milk 8 eggs, slightly beaten 2 cup sugar 1 tsp PureSpice ® salt 2 tsp PureSpice ® ground mahleb 15 cup unbleached flour 1 Tbsp PureSpice ® sesame seeds 1 Tbsp PureSpice ® black sesame seeds
1.Sprinkle yeast, 1 Tbsp sugar, and 3 Tbsp of flour over warm water and stir. Set aside. 2.Combine evaporated milk, eggs, 2 cups sugar and salt and ground mahleb inh bowl and mix well. 3.Gradually mix in flour and knead lightly. Let rise in warm place until doubled. Pinch off small pieces of dough and form desired shapes. Let rise again. 4.Arrange on baking sheets. Brush with egg wash. Sprinkle with white and black sesame seeds. 5. Bake at 350 until golden…usually about 20 minutes. Cook on racks.
