PANCH PHORON STIR-FRY CABBAGE WITH PANCH PHORON Inspired By: Bengali Traditional Dish Ingredients: 2 tablespoons canola oil 2 teaspoons minced ginger 1 teaspoon PureSpice ® turmeric 1 onion, thinly sliced 1 head cabbage, finely shredded 1/2 teaspoon PureSpice ® salt 1 tablespoon ghee (or canola oil) 2 teaspoons PureSpice ® panch phoron 1. Heat the ghee in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ginger, turmeric, and onion. Stir-fry until the onion is soft and beginning to brown. Add the cabbage and salt and stir-fry until the cabbage is slightly wilted. 2. Heat the ghee in the small skillet and when hot, add the panch phoron. As soon as the mixture crackles and is aromatic, pour it over the cabbage and mix. Serve hot as a side dish |
