French Toast with Lemon Brandied Butter

Ingredients:

4 Eggs
2 Tbsp + 1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup whole milk
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
12 thick slices of bread
Butter
Powdered Sugar

For Lemon Brandied Butter:

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
Juice of two lemons
4 tsp. PureSpice Lemon Peel Pieces
3 oz Brandy

Directions:

1. In a shallow dish, beat eggs, sugar, salt, milk and vanilla. Soak bread in the mixture. Heat butter over medium high heat and cook each slice of bread until slightly brown on each side.

For Lemon Brandied Butter:

1. Melt butter over low heat. Spoon off any foam that forms. Pour into dish, leaving behind any sediment left in the pan.
2. Wash pan, and pour butter back in the pan and add the sugar. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice, lemon peel granules, and brandy. Stir until smooth. Serve with french toast, and use lemon slices as garnish. Sprinkle tops with powdered sugar.
