Ingredients:
1 lb, 2 oz Leeks ¾ pint Milk 4 oz Cheddar Cheese 1 oz Plain Flour 1 oz Butter ¼ tsp PureSpice ® Garlic Salt Pinch PureSpice ® Ground Bay Leaves Pinch PureSpice ® Mustard Powder Pinch PureSpice ® Nutmeg
1.Cut the leeks into 2 inch pieces.Place the leeks in boiling water and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain well, place in a flameproof dish. 2. Place the milk, plain flour and butter in a saucepan. Bring to the boil, stirring or whisking continuously.Simmer for 2-3 minutes. 3. Add the nutmeg, mustard powder, Garlic Salt and ground Bay Leaves. Add 3oz of grated cheese, stir until melted. 4.Pour the sauce over the leeks. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Pre-heat oven to 400 °F and Bake for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown.
