| PureSpice Gumbo Filé is a mixture of sassafras and thyme. Often Gumbo Filé is only sassafras, which is used as a thickening agent and has very little flavor. We add thyme for flavor because it is traditionally Cajun. This is a product much in demand because of the popularity of Louisiana cooking. We're one of the few spice houses offering this product. |
